hello bloggers, this week for our writing our school's amazing principal Mrs Earl came into our class to give us an idea for our writing this week. we focused on collecting words, collecting words is when you hear a word in a story or someone's writing that you like and you use that word in your writing. we made a vocabulary valut with all of them. We had to use a Adverbial phrase, repetition and a rhetorical question, we also used a shade o meter that is to make words better. We had a choice of using a photo or we could continue our writing from last week. I chose to continue my writing. here is my work for this week.
The world of the future
On one dark cold evening, Emily and Charlotte were eating their dinner as they heard a huge exploding noise. It was Ravana making robots for her brand new world of the future, she wanted things to change she wanted, everything to be new and modernized, except she lived in a dark black castle with her crazy bird Hebrew, so nowone would know where she lived. Emily hated her, but Charlotte loved robotics and she thought that Ravana was so cool and she wanted to be just as good as her someday. Emily bit her lip as she was frightened by the daunting sound.
As the dawn awakened, Emily took the bus to the local coffee shop as she turned around she observed the bus driver. She saw a shiny grey bolt in the driver's neck. She desperately wanted to know what was going on. If only her sister were there. If only she knew what was going on. If only she was still at home with her family. She quickly jumped off the bus to go get her sister. She noticed that loads of things were now replaced with robots and they were all going crazy, she just knew that ravana had something to do with it. How is she going to fix this predicament all by herself?
Emily darted down to her house to get Charlotte. Charlotte quickly made a mixture with loads of chemicals somehow, the girls raced down to the city and they threw the toxic mixture all over the robots, they automatically froze and fell to the ground. They got a huge dump truck to take the robots away. They had saved their city from getting badly hurt. Loads of children were inspired and they wanted to be heroes so Emily and Charlotte decided to make a wonderful park made out of all the scraps from the robots that had been dumped in a big construction site. All the kids helped and they felt like superheroes and in the end they had a wonderful park left.

All about me
Kia ora , my name is Mimi. In my family, I have my mum, my dad and I have one sister called Jules. I also have a pet rabbit called Stormy. I go to St Francis of Assisi Cathloc school. I am half Maltese and half Dutch, I was born in England. As a learner I love doing art and I dream of being a designer some day. I enjoy playing with my friends. My goals for this year are, reading more fluently and writing with more descriptive words. My personal achievements are passing my dance exams and going to school camp last year. As I touched the mirror. . .
Level 3: use a range of written features to engage the audience.
This week for our writing we had to do narrative writing, we had four pictures to choose from as our inspiration I was inspired by a picture on Pobble 365 called ¨the mirror in the attic¨. here is my work for this week writing task I hope you like it.😜
The mystical mirror in the attic
On a warm summer evening, Emma and Maddie had just bought their new house so they were cleaning the place. Maddie went to clean behind the staircase in the attic where she found an old mirror. The mirror looked old and dusty so she called Emma to help her bring it upstairs. Once they had taken it up stairs Emma went to clean it but she was sucked into it somehow, Maddie was shocked she didn't know where her friend had gone she touched the mirror and she disappeared too.
Suddenly they appeared to be in a different world. It looked like when Maddie would watch movies that were made in the eighteen forties that's when the girls realized they were in the eighteen forties!. They tried to call their friends but they couldn't because in the eighteen forties they didn't have phones. The girls looked for somewhere to stay and they had to do it fast because there was a big storm coming, They found an old house in the town so they decided to stay there till they could leave.
The next day when the storm was over they decided to have a look at the town, as they walked past the old fashioned shops they got an idea they searched for a mirror shop, finally they found one they rushed inside to try to find the same mirror that was sold to the people they bought their house from. There it was the same old mirror with the chipped gold edging. They snatched the mirror off the shelf, and they carefully touched it at the same time, there was a shattering noise because the mirror had shattered as the girls got taken back to their hometown.

This week for reading we had to create a digital poster or slideshow and include all the things that are needed for appropriate email etiquette. Once we had created it, we had to make a screencastify talking about our poster. Here is my learning I hope you like it. 😜
