What is happening to our earth?

WHAT IS HAPPENING TO OUR EARTH
This week Erika lingard came to our hub to talk to us about saving the planet because of what we are doing to it and what our future will be like if we do not stop this. Erika used to be a preschool teacher and one of the many jobs she had was taking out the rubbish everyday there was so many bags of rubbish that she thought to herself where does all this stuff end up what will the future be like if we keep on doing this she didn't like what was happening so she made a company called Eco-me to help

It was Wednesday afternoon when Erika ( Charlie's mum) walked in the door for a visit. She started to explain to us what is happening to our earth she said if we do keep on using plastic cutting down trees without replanting them and throwing rubbish on the ground animals will die we will have no oxygen our seas will be filled with plastic  and the air will be all polluted with smoke for example if we go to a restaurant and order a piece of fish we will cut it open and inside there will be plastic in his tummy this is what our future will be like soon so make sure that look after our earth.

These are the products she has created and I am going to tell you about them. She has created forever pegs these pegs are designed to last forever they are made from stainless steel you might be wondering if these will rust they will not rust so they can be used in your pantry fridge or freezer but they can still be used on your washing line. She also made reusable straws these straws are also made from stainless steel so you can take them out to a cafe or when you are getting a takeaway you use these straws instead of plastic straws she also makes sporks and chopsticks they are stainless steel as well so you can use them the same way.

she makes net bags they are made to last long and they are designed for the supermarket they have a weight tag on the side so they don't rip and the good think is that when they are worn out they can go in the green bin. she also makes reusable coffee cups they are made from stainless steel and they come in two colors the lid flicks back so when you are drinking your coffee it doesn't hit you in the nose. She packages all her products in recyclable items if you want to know more go check out Eco-me.

If you did something to help the earth what would you do?
