ReplyDeleteKia ora Mimi, this is Kieryn from the Summer Learning Journey.
ReplyDeleteYou have written an excellent blog post on old fashion!
I really like the font you have chosen to use. The cursive style really works well with the posts theme of olden day fashion.
I agree with your statement that clothes were made much more sustainably in the past than they are now. Hand making your own clothes from locally sourced materials is much better for the environment than buying clothes which are made in a factory and filled with different chemicals and dyes.
One way to buy clothes more ethically in today’s society is to shop second hand. Going to thrift stores or buying from sites such as trade-me allow clothing items to be repurposed which is therefore a better option for our environment.
It is wonderful how you included a description of the type of clothing which was worn in the olden days. Perhaps you could update your post and add in an image of these clothing items.
It would be great if you could link in the sources where you got your information from.
